The former governor was welcomed into the state by party members and loyalists at the Presidential Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office in Osogbo.
Addressing his supporters, Mr. Oyetola said he was surprised by the reception he received, saying he left the country to rest but is now back to campaign for the party’s victory in the forthcoming elections.

“I didn’t tell anyone that I came back to the country this morning and I was surprised to be greeted by this crowd. Thank you very much.
“This year will be a good year for all of us; our scholars have urged us not to doubt God through our prayers. God’s promises will come true.

“I wake up every day; I eat, sleep and watch television. I have time to welcome my children and grandchildren.
“Then I went to Umurah (small pilgrimage) with my wife to thank God,” he said.
Mr. Oyetola urged his supporters to remain calm, saying nothing could scare them away from the country.

He also called for the success of APC in the coming elections.
