DVLA Officials Charged in Corrupt Transactions Matters
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), has given notice that it will deal with officials in relation to a new investigative document by an Accra based media outlet.
The documentary, dubbed “Money over Human Lives” which focuses on the Driver’s License acquisition process at the DVLA, reveals illegal activities in the driver’s license acquisition process.
According to the DVLA, they are “very interested in the documentary and the various procedural breaches it highlights.”
In a statement after the documentary aired, the Authority said it would launch an investigation into the exposure and deal with the culprits if found guilty.
“In this regard an official request has been made to Multimedia for a copy of the unedited version of the document for review and follow up action”, part of the statement said.
“We would like to assure the general public that any employee found guilty of these alleged offenses will be dealt with seriously in accordance with the Authority’s internal disciplinary process.
Any act/behaviour that amounts to criminality will be referred to the Ghana Police Service for necessary action,” the statement said.
