According to the source, Sassuolo are not the only club showing interest in the defender and Pirates have previously scrapped their bid as they do not want to lose the player after just one season with the DStv Premiership.
However, he may soon change his mind.
Ndah joined Pirates in 2021 and his performances for the Buccaneers were outstanding and led to him getting a call-up to Nigeria’s senior men’s team – he even played in the last Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
“He is not going to the (original) Pirates… his desire is always to play abroad,” a source told Mgosi Squad.
“Coming to Pirates was just his way to Europe. He attracted a lot of interest in the first few games with the club and the management already knew that he would not last. Sassuolo have given him (Pirates) good money, I don’t think there is a team that want to refuse.
good offer
“It’s a good offer and the club is willing to let him go, but it’s clear that they won’t let him go without having a plan to replace him. The club has been struggling for a long time at centre-back and after finding Ndah, things have improved. There’s also Tapelo Xoki and Nkosinathi Sibisi, but what happens when something goes wrong with one of them? So, those are some of the things the club is looking for. There needs to be a proper replacement, and it will be difficult to find someone like him (Ndah).
Pirates have been linked with the possible return of Abboubaker Mobara from AmaZulu FC as Ndah’s replacement if he leaves during this transfer window.
