Glenn Shepherd went official Instagram with boyfriend Daniel “Dani” Jimenez last month, and shortly after that, he met with rumors of a potential engagement.
After sharing a series of photos, and a slideshow of pics, on his social media pages throughout the month of November, the Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast members were forced to set the record straight regarding the mysterious ring Dani wore in one of the pictures.
The speculation began on Instagram on November 20, when Captain Glenn shared photos and videos from a trip he and Dani, who hails from the Dominican Republic, took to Mexico City’s Teotihuacan pyramids and the Xochimilco ship.
“You’ll never guess who I ran into at Pirámides de Teotihuacan,” he wrote in the caption. “No matter what I do, I can’t shake this chick….I try to give her the slip but she follows me to Xochimilco instead.
Later, in a “status update,” Glenn pointed to a potential engagement ring on Dani’s finger.
“It’s just a ring… None of us are married or engaged, but I can report we are very much in love, and for us, that’s what counts,” he noted. “PS to those who sent congratulations, I can assure you they are not wasted, our relationship is something to be celebrated.”
In the midst of congratulatory messages from fans, Glenn was met with a nice comment from Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Nepola and Below Deck alum Kate Chastainwho said and Dani make a “handsome couple” and “a beautiful couple,” respectively.
In another post shared the day before, Glenn joked about his plane encounter with Dani.
“Sat next to this beautiful woman on the Emirates flight here to Mexico City yesterday. I was like: If you don’t talk to her, you’re an idiot,” he said on November 16. window.”
After the flight, which saw Glenn and Dani fly from Barcelona to Mexico City, according to The Daily Dish, where they attended the NBCUniversal Experience at Jardin Santa Fe, Glenn posted a photo of the two on the red carpet.
“Captain looks sharp,” Below Deck‘s Eddie Lucas wrote in response to the black tie pic as Marcos Spaziani said Glenn as a “Legend.”
As for the couple’s more recent adventures, Glenn shared a Christmas photo of him and Dani last week, which saw the pair posing at a marina in Spain.
“From me, Danielis, and the whole gang at Parsifal III, I wish you all, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and of course, Happy New Year, I have great hopes for 2023,” captioned the photo.
Back in May, Glenn first teased his new relationship with The Daily Dish.
“There are people in my life, but we don’t want to be in the public eye, at this stage. Maybe in the future,” he said at the time.
