Heather Gay where he refused to reveal how he got a black eye when he looked at it After the Show for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City last week.
After playing coy with his castmates he tries to come up with a phony story Mr. ShahHeather explained why she kept it a secret because her friends weighed in, with her brother. Whitney Rose claimed Heather’s story repeatedly changed throughout the girls’ trip to San Diego and Lisa Barlow accused him of using the situation for attention.
“Obviously, I was surprised. We were all up quite late [and] I went to sleep,” Meredith Marcus said Heather’s injury in the December 21 episode RHOSLC: After the Show.
“I just remember feeling nauseous, like worrying for everybody. Like, ‘Are we safe? What happened?'” Whitney shared.
As for Heather, she admitted to wanting to “minimize” the speculation surrounding her black eye.
“As a mute, I just want to minimize it,” he explained. “This has been a very difficult trip for the girls. I really felt a little bit broken, a little bit beat up, figuratively and physically and I just thought, just get over it… and try to save the trip for what it is. I no longer want to pretend to be concerned about myself or my eyes.
According to Heather, no one really “gives a sh-t” so she wants to “move” – and do so with boundaries.
“I just have boundaries and I just want to see if people will respect that,” he added.
But when Heather insists, “It’s privileged information,” Whitney is suspected of using it.
“His story keeps changing,” Whitney said. “He went, ‘Well, people know. There are witnesses.’ Then he looked at me and I went, ‘Heather, are you okay?’ And he said, ‘Whatever you do, if you get a knock at 4 in the morning, don’t answer.’ Then he started [saying] It could be anyone and I don’t like it because it puts a lot of people’s jobs and futures at risk.
“It keeps changing,” Danna Bui-Negrete agreed. “It’s almost like a game for him like, ‘Let’s guess what happened to him.'”
Continuing with her suspicions, Whitney said that Heather’s injuries did not appear from the rough-house.
“If I accidentally take my elbow, it’s like a shiner. It’s like all the eyes are black, so it’s like blunt,” Whitney explained Angie Katsanevas pointed out that Heather’s eyes were “swollen closed,” and Danna said the last people seen with Heather were Jen and Meredith.
“I was surprised. I was like, ‘Who hit her?’” Lisa recalled her response to Heather’s wide-eyed response. “The fact that Heather was so coy about it and didn’t just talk about what happened to her, we all stopped talking about it. I was like, ‘Heather do you need more attention? Is this a diversion from last night’s conversation?'”
Lisa later admitted that her mind was a bit dark as she wondered how it all happened.
“I was like, ‘Do you let people in your room? Do you swipe left or right, and someone comes to you?’ And he was like, ‘No,’ so I believed him, and when I thought about it, I was like, ‘Okay, he’s a total waste.’ You know, Heather was drinking all day pretty much every day, so I was like, ‘Maybe she tripped and fell and was kind of messed about.’ It’s just two things. I’m like, ‘Someone’s going to hit you, or you’re going to fall and hurt yourself,'” Lisa reasoned.
“I think he’s a little nervous about how to drink,” Angie K. admitted. “Maybe he tripped over a shoe or something on the floor and fell.”
Although Lisa and Angie K. believe alcohol was the main factor leading to Heather’s injury, Angie K. also wondered if something happened between her and Jen.
Then, after Whitney noted Jen’s behavior during the discussion about Heather’s eyes, saying she was “on the phone texting all the time,” Angie K. said Jen was “so dead.”
“He was very quiet,” replied Angie K. “His mind was somewhere else, and I just thought, ‘He knows something, and he’s not going to come clean.'”
