Greta Thunberg’s Andrew Tate putdown one of most-liked tweets ever

Greta Thunberg showed again this week that she is a force to be reckoned with. Known for taking on world leaders on climate change, the 19-year-old environmental activist ended 2022 by insulting Andrew Tate with one of the most popular tweets of all time.

Tate, the kickboxer-turned-influencer and styled “king of toxic masculinity,” mocked Thunberg on Tuesday, tweet: “Hello @GretaThunberg. I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s. This is just the beginning. Please give me your email address so I can send you a complete list of my car collection and the emissions that bulky.

Thunberg the answer: “Yes, please enlighten me. Email me at smalldickenergy@getalife.com.

They’re back, posted Wednesday, with more than 278 million views, 678,000 retweets, and nearly 4 million likes. This makes it one of my favorite tweets.

Musk praised Thunberg

Twitter CEO Elon Musk on Friday expressed his admiration for Thunberg, write: “The amount of brand awareness Greta has achieved over the years is amazing. I think she’s cool tbh.”

The tweet was in direct response to a piece from the satire site Babylon Bee titled “Thermostat Greta Thunberg New Scowls At You When You Turn The Heat Up,” but was in the midst of a feud with Tate.

Musk, a self-described “free speech absolutist,” has reinstated several Twitter accounts that have been banned since his $44 billion takeover of Twitter in late October. Among them are the Tate and Babylon Bee accounts.

Tate has been banned for misogyny, hate speech, and other violations on several social networks, including Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. In one of the videos that caused him to be removed from the English version Big Brother, he was seen hitting a woman with a belt. He claimed it was a consensual act.

In a tweet after his reinstatement on Twitter, Tate said he flew to California to tell Musk he was a “legend.”

On Thursday, Romanian police arrested Tate and his brother Tristan, along with others, near Bucharest on charges of human trafficking and rape, according to Reuters.

Arrested then Tate react Thunberg also liked the video with a pizza box from a restaurant in the Bucharest area. Speculation followed that the box tipped authorities to Tate’s location in Romania — the hashtag #PizzaTate trended — but skeptics said Tate was keeping no secret and authorities denied any connection.

After Tate was arrested, Thunberg fired back at Tate, tweet: “This is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza box.”
