Volta Region Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa commended the leadership of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) for increasing efforts to improve the operations and image of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
He acknowledged that the image of NHIS has improved significantly over the past few months and commended the Governing Council and Executive Management for transforming NHIA into a reputable public institution.
In his office on Friday, December 30, 2022, Dr. Archibald Letsa addressed a delegation from NHIA led by Acting Director of Administration, Mr. Raymond Avinu.
The delegation is honored and also thanked the Regional Minister who has worked tirelessly to change the fortunes of the region to become the best region in 2022.
The delegation took advantage of the courtesy call and officially informed the Regional Minister of the honor of Mr. Raymond Avinu as Ghana’s Best Administrator for 2022, presented by the organizers of the Ghana Leadership Awards at the La Palm Beach Hotel in Accra.
Dr Archibald Letsa called for further strengthening of the relationship between the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) and NHIA.
He called on Mr. Avinu to continue to be an example of good leadership to the youth of the Volta Region and the nation in general. “Don’t let us down anywhere.”
The Regional Minister praised the Chief Executive, Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye and the Board of Governors of NHIA for implementing outstanding policies including restructuring of the organogram to create career progression, rapid promotion of staff and motivating them to give their best.
Mr. Avinu described the Volta Regional Minister as an intergenerational leader whose guidance and support contributed to his achievements so far as NHIA Director of Administration.
Said Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye led by the Executive Management and Governing Council remains fully committed to ensure the delivery of more health services and added value to NHIS Members.
Mr. Avinu reminded the people of Ghani to nurture the spirit of volunteerism to maintain the status of the nation that should be called a beacon of peace in the Sub-Region.
Regional Director of NHIA Volta, Mr. Joseph Homenya praised the Regional Minister for grooming the regional youth to be Ambassadors of Change.
The delegation included the NHIA Regional Director, Mr. Mr. Joseph Homenya, Regional Operations Manager; Mr. Emmanuel Avinu, Regional PRO; NHIS Municipal Manager, Mr. Bright Kwame Nyatsikor Mr. Bright Sedoame Doh, Manager of Adaklu-Kidul Regency; Mr. Godfrey, Lighting Manager, Mr. Joseph Ahadjie and Adaklu-South District MIS Officer, Mr. Tornyi Light.
