Group marks anniversary, donates to the needy | The Guardian Nigeria News

Handlifters Praying Group recently marked its 20th anniversary with a prayer of thanksgiving and intercession for the nation and leaders in the palace of the traditional ruler of Onigbongbon, Maryland, Lagos, Oba Oluwasegun Adeyemi Ajasa.

Christians, Muslims and traditionalists participated in the event. The group also donated groceries, including rice, gari, indomie, and the like, to the poor.

The Guest Speaker, Apostle General Anselm Madubuko, used the occasion to preach for a united Nigeria and for the people to live godly lives.

The Convener, Handlifters Praying Group, Pastor Chinyere Adegboye, announced that the event was an annual declaration of thanksgiving/prophecy in Nigeria and its people.

“We are serving the people with food. We are also giving free medical checkups and medicines, in collaboration with the Oba of Onigbongbon, Oba Oluwasegun Ajasa.

He remembered the group that used to go to the hospital to pray for the sick, and settle the bills of those who could not afford it, before Jehovah said that he should also reach out to the less qualified people in the community by giving them food.

The Asojuoba of Onigbongbon Kingdom, High Chief Ganiyu Sadiq, said: “We are here to pray for Nigeria going into the upcoming elections. Let’s love each other. Love yourself, love God and love your neighbor.”
