Julia, born Julia Nana Ama Serwaa Johannes in Accra on September 26, 2009, from a Ghanaian mother and a German father moved with her family to a small German town called Heilbronn when she was 5 years old. Heilbronn is in the wine producing region of Baden-Wurttemberg. About 60 kilometers from Stuttgart, it comes from the famous Mercedes-Benz.
Julia has always loved animals. In Ghana, they have dogs and birds as pets, but they are not allowed outside the gate of the house to play and play in their free time because their parents always tell them that it is dangerous.
Life in this village is very beautiful and safe. It was a very different world from his life in Accra, where residents did not lock their doors. Wide open spaces of forests and vineyards. Free from the world of anti-theft windows, heavy security doors, mesh wires on the walls and more, Julia began to explore the beauty of the world.
One day while playing in the backyard, he found an injured bird. Realizing that his mother is afraid of animals, he sneaks the bird into the bedroom and keeps it in a box. He then stole food from his mother’s kitchen and nested the bird back to health for a week.
But his mother found the bird and told him to leave. It broke his heart and he cried but he knew what it was about right. So he did, but that didn’t stop him from opening his heart to all the other creatures he found in the open spaces of the vineyard area of Heilbronn. He started rescuing squirrels, hedgehogs, and some birds.
