Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh tested positive for COVID-19
Days before the Supreme Court is set to resume oral arguments for the first time in eighteen months, Justice Brett Kavanaugh has tested positive for COVID-19, a court representative said on Sunday.
Kavanaugh, a UN agency who has no symptoms and has been immunized since Jan, is the first member of the honorable court to have a shrinking virus. All judges have been immunized since the beginning of this year, the court has said.
Justice generally gathers from March 2020, but the regional unit is ready to open the room for lawyers and a variety of journalists that are limited to the cases of autumn cases.

On Monday, the judges met in person for the 1st conference of the term. The court said all judges, along with Kavanaugh, tested negative for the coronavirus before the meeting.
Kavanaugh, 56, learned Thursday afternoon that he had tested positive during a routine test ahead of the long-delayed Associate in Nursing investiture ceremony for Justice Amy Coney Barrett due to the pandemic, according to the court.

“As a precaution, Justice and Mrs. Kavanaugh will not attend Justice Barrett’s investiture this morning,” Justice Patricia McCabe said in a release. He noted that the Kavanaugh family had tested negative for the virus.
Barrett used to have a standard investiture photo-op on weekdays, walking down the Supreme Court building with judge John Roberts and his wife. He was confirmed to the bench in the Gregorian calendar month 2020; there he will take his seat on the bench for the first time since the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
