Katie Maloney warned by your ex-husband Tom Schwartz about business partners and friends, Tom Sandovalafter learning the relationship with Rachel Lewis.
When you look at it Nick Viall‘s podcast this week, the Vanderpump Rules star said his ex-husband was “very concerned” about the business, suggesting Sandoval would have drowned Schwartz to save himself if he had been exposed as a cheater when he talked about the sandwich shop with him. Ariana Madixthrowing shade at Raquel, and teasing a future reunion.
“Schwartz is very subservient to Tom in many ways. He allows Tom to dominate him and his friendship and business. And because Schwartz kind of, like, wants to just go with the flow and doesn’t want to be confrontational about it, the role has been reversed – let’s say in all situations it’s with Scandoval — I told people that, you know, ‘I think Tom’s going to throw you under the bus and save himself,'” Katie said in the April 4 episode Viall file, via Us Weekly. “‘They will drown you if the ship sinks and save you [himself].’”
Katie also pointed out that Sandoval’s decision to engage in a months-long affair with Raquel ignored how it affected Schwartz.
“I said [Schwartz]I was like, ‘Now you have really hitched a wagon to this person, and you are in business with this person, and the fact that they can go out into the world, and be careless and not think about the ramifications and how it can affect you – that must be frustrating for you ,’” Katie shared.
Learning from her ex’s mistakes, Katie says she and Ariana want to do “everything” differently with their sandwich shop, Something About Her, which is set to open in West Hollywood later this year.
“We wanted to really crystallize our idea and our plan, budget, branding, all of that, before we even start spending any kind of real money,” Katie explained. “We work with consulting companies that have opened their own restaurants, that have helped other people, you know, relaunch them. [businesses from] hotels to coffee shops to other bars and restaurants around LA”
As for how Ariana has held up, Katie said she “feels amazing” – “for the most part.”
“He has a healthy outlook on everything. He wants to leave it in the past, move on,” said Katie. “They think they’re scumbags. … They know that every day their life is going to get better. But you know, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.
After all, it was her boyfriend of nine years and her close friend of several years who betrayed her.
“I think Ariana just wholeheartedly said, ‘I really believe in this girl. And I’m not, like, a jealous person or not in this situation. I’m not jealous of my friends. And I believe in her, and I’m not think he’s going to do this,'” Katie suspected.
Speaking from her own experience with Raquel, who made out with her then-estranged husband, Schwartz, last summer, around the time the romance with Sandoval began, Katie admitted it was possible that Raquel had feelings for both Toms.
“He’s always been a fan, so maybe he really likes it,” Katie said. “[But] at the end of the day, it still hurts a lot because I have sat in front of him not once but twice, and told him he was going to hurt me.
Looking back on March 23 taping from Pump Rules The reunion, Katie admitted “a lot of people” surprised her, including one co-star in particular who she didn’t name.
“I’ve always been interested in people’s body language. And the way body language changes depending on who’s talking to them or who they’re talking to,” he said. “This person is sometimes, like, like hunched over and staring at the ground. And other times, you know, it’s going to be more animated – it just depends on who’s saying it or what they’re talking about.
And looking forward to season 11, Katie said the idea of filming with Sandoval and Raquel was like a “nightmare” before noting that it was part of “the job.”
“How do we make sense of, like, ‘Am I going to be in the same room as this guy?’ Beyond just, like, this is the show we’re doing… you have to make sense of it,” Katie said. “We’re just coming off the season. I can’t even wrap my head around next season.
As for the recently surfaced photo of Raquel in Sandoval and Ariana’s home connection, which was taken when Ariana was out of town, Katie said she believed the couple had a one-night visit.
“I think so,” Katie said, as noted by Page Six. “Like, you don’t just stop by and carry all your luggage overnight.”
After Raquel showed up at Sandoval and Ariana’s place with some bags, Sandoval’s rep denied that she had slept in the front. But either way, Katie believes that if Raquel “has her own place,” she should go there.
“I mean, this whole thing started out of bad, shameless judgment, so to put something into action now, I mean, please,” he said.
Also on the podcast, per Us Weekly, Katie discusses her ups and downs Scheana Shay.
“It’s 10 years of knowing each other,” she explained about the drama. “Maybe we’re not friends because we have different personalities. … I feel like with Scheana, like, she does that thing where she’ll throw rocks and hide her hands.
“They want to take responsibility for the little things they do,” Katie said.
