Parents Concerned With Protecting Their Children Should Shift Their Alt-Right Rebellion Against Drag Queens And Books About Black History To Supporting A Ban On The Assault Weapons That Are Murdering Our School Children. The Racism And Hatred MAGA Leaders Show Towards Non-White, Non-Heterosexual Americans Has Gaslighted The GOP Base Into Believing Drag Queens And Learning About Slavery And The Holocaust Damages Children More Than Being Shot By An Assault Weapon. – Baby Boomer Resistance: A Pro Democracy Blog

The ban on weapons of war does not eliminate the right to bear arms. The claim is a gaslighting strategy, the NRA has Congress and children are dying because of the opportunism of corruption in our government.

Children know that there is something they can do to save themselves from being victims of a mass shooting. They know that greedy alt-right gun fanatics won’t take legislative action to ban assault weapons to protect them. The argument that banning the possession of assault weapons denies citizens their Second Amendment rights is a lie. A cocky Republican Congressman continues to brag about family Christmas cards showing his children holding high-powered rifles. He blamed the massacre of children on mental health issues, teachers not being armed, school doors not being locked, and democrats for “politicizing” the issue. He never blames the violence of easy access to guns, excessive gun ownership in America, inadequate background checks, or restrictions on gun ownership for those convicted of domestic offenses. The United States leads the world in mass shootings. It leads the world in the most liberal laws of gun ownership. Republicans have abrogated their Second Amendment rights meaning NO restrictions on gun ownership are constitutional.

Since the shooting this week at NASHVILLE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, there has been no outpouring of sincere regret from the REPUBLIC for the three children and three school personnel who were killed by assault weapons. No comment from GOP on GUN LEGISLATING REFORM ACT.

Resistance by Republican lawmakers to passing sensible gun laws raises questions of character, religious faith, and psychological health. About 90% of Americans support background check laws, red flag laws, and regulations on gun sales over the internet. A majority of Americans support a ban on military assault weapons for the general population. Voters should pay attention to how they elect their representatives and who their donors are. The NRA helps certain candidates get elected and these lawmakers don’t work for the people, they work for Wayne La Pierre.
Parents should organize rallies across the country to expose the greed and hypocrisy of Republicans in Congress who oppose gun reform. In coveting weapons of war by the GOP make school children die. Gun Reform Activist David Hogg is a survivor of the mass shooting seven years ago at Marjory Stoneman- Douglas High School. He has emerged as a leading voice for the GenZ population that has come of age with mass shootings becoming a normal part of the American experience. Parents should wake up lawmakers who refuse to enact gun control laws that will be publicly harrassed, emasculated, campaigned against and voted out of office if they continue for the NRA to save their children. The difference between Republicans who are concerned about fetal concerns and dismissiveness about the bodies of school children held at gunpoint is about as anti-Christian as you can get.
Drag Queens don’t go into schools and pick up kids. He went to the library and read books to the children. Governor and autocrat Ron Desantis focuses on the issues that feed the language, and ignores the issues that America is most concerned about. Women, LGBTQ, minorities and immigrants beware! He is a right-wing autocrat who claims to be a freedom fighter but in fact restricts freedom for women, parents, teachers, immigrants, and corporations. They are only for small government while maintaining government bans on guns.
March, demonstrate, protest, and demand to be heard and taken seriously. Public outrage over the inaction of Republican lawmakers should continue to grow and spread across the country.
