Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sipho Mbule will focus more on his career and progression at the club, sources close to the Bethlehem-born player have revealed.

A few weeks ago, Mbule was said to have had problems with Sundowns’ technical team after he reported to training drunk alongside his teammate Andile Jali.
It was reported that the pair were suspended by the club following the incident, which shocked many people, especially Mbule as he was expected to get regular game time at the club.
A source now says that Mbule is someone who has always tried to stay out of the media for the wrong reasons and he feels that the current incident has made him look very bad and he has let a lot of people down.
“It’s not good when you have a lot of people looking at you and you’re going to let them down. It’s not a good feeling and Sipho is really upset. I don’t want to deny or confirm that the allegations are true, but something happened at the club and that’s why he’s not at the team,” the source said.
“All he wants now is to work hard and be a regular in the Sundowns team. He knows he has talent and he can achieve whatever he wants in football. He has assured everyone close to him that he will work hard now and just concentrating on making sure he’s the player everyone wants to be.

The source further revealed that the Sundowns coach has spoken to Mbule and also wants to see him become one of the best players in the country.
“He has people who are trying to guide him because they care about him. They will always make sure that he can go, especially at this time. Another good thing is that the coach at Sundowns has been talking to him about improving his football and football- outside.
