Tyler Hynes Talks Filming ‘A Picture of Her’ With Rhiannon Fish

Spring into love! Tyler Hynes could be a romantic star in an upcoming Hallmark movie Picture Her – but chemistry credits with Rhiannon’s fish to bring stories to life.

“Something is very present [Rhiannon]. There was never a moment when I looked at him and did something in the scene that wasn’t there,” Hynes, 36, said. Us Weekly about filming with him Picture Her costar, 32. “I can do anything and he will be with me. It will not be thrown away will not be discombobulated, he will just be present with me. After I felt a little with the other actors, I said, ‘Okay, now we can enjoy- happy because we can start playing here and try to find the magic and the time in between, which I think is where all the juicy stuff is.’”

The film – which premieres on March 25, on Hallmark and serves as part of the network’s Spring Into Love rollout – follows Hynes as a celebrity photographer named Jake. Uninterested in the lack of creativity in his current job, he unknowingly takes a photo of a stranger named Beth (Fish). After the two meet and form a quick connection, the picture finds its way to the cover of the magazine and Beth makes it her mission to find the man behind the lens. Jake, meanwhile, must decide whether he should come clean to the girl he fell for.

“This movie could have been a different movie otherwise [Rhiannon] in that role,” Hynes said us from what Home and Away star is brought to Beth section. “Looking up close and seeing what he did in this film, he really did us a service. And I can’t say enough about him. He’s as talented and wonderful a person as you can imagine.

Beyond the opportunity to work together Fish, the Letterkenny alum explained that light-hearted “warm” undertones of Picture Her felt comfortable after an experience working on Hallmark’s zany Christmas comedy The Three Wiseman and the Babyand fun holiday dramas on the network, Time to go home for Christmas. Both the festive films will be released in December 2022.

“What’s interesting about this [film] it means it felt like a good time to do something that scratched a certain itch that I don’t think I’ve scratched in a while as far as one of these films,” he shared.

Hynes was also drawn to the modern framing of the story, which saw Beth become an overnight sensation based on a single photograph.

“[I loved] that idea [the] art and simplicity of original beauty and finer details [are things] the world still cares. If the world is still moving, “he points out, noting that playing a character who rediscovers his art is a” wonderful thing “and feels” true to life.

While Hynes’ time as Jake may have “romantic itched” for the actor, that doesn’t mean he isn’t ready to reunite with her. The Three Wisemen and the Baby costars – and best friends – Paul Campbell and Andrew Walker.

The holiday comedy was written by Campbell, 43, and the Hallmark star Kimberly Sustad. After its premiere, the seasonal comedy became the network’s most-watched movie of 2022 — including both Christmas and non-Christmas movies — and broke records through 2019.

Hynes said us that the BFFs are “just scratching the surface” when it comes to what they can create together, adding that he wants to see them “put on different characters” and just “watch them stew together in different ways.”

For now, the An unexpected Christmas star ready for the world to experience modern-day meet-cute with Picture Herand remains grateful for his experience at Hallmark — and the people who continue to support him along the way.

“Everyone is really nice. I feel as close as you can feel like a supportive family,” he said from the network. I can’t say enough about the humanity of watching this movie and how wonderful, wonderful, wholesome and sincere and genuine it is.
