Pirates had to give everything in the DStv Premiership clash against SuperSport in the battle for second place on the log and they came out as 1-0 winners at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
A final penalty in the tie scored by the defender Tapelo Xoki earned the Pirates three points, which is very important for the Sea Robber in the race for the runner-up position.
However, the Soweto giants remain in third place in the league standings with 37 points, while SuperSport also remain in second place with 39 points with both sides having played 23 games.
“We know that it will not be easy, SuperSport is a good team, they are not there (in second place) by chance. We know that we have to fight, especially because we are playing at home, we have to make this field (Orlando Stadium) so our fortress,” said Sibisi, who was named man-of-the-match after the game.

“It’s not easy, especially because they play long balls and Bradly Grobler is good in the air and he also brings Thamasanqa Gabuza and doesn’t make our job any easier. However, we fight and we know we have to keep a clean sheet because the people in home will get one (goal) for us.
The win against SuperSport was Bucs’ third in all competitions and Sibisi will be hoping to extend their winning streak to the end of the season.
“Our mentality is positive, we have a lot of good players with a good attitude. We are starting to get a winning mentality and hopefully that will continue for the rest of the season.
