Former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Klotey Korley Constituency, Mr. Nii Noi Nortey has appealed to the youths not to ignore the promises of former President John Dramani Mahama and stressed that he has nothing better to offer Ghanaians.
According to Mr. Nii Noi Nortey, voting for Mr. Mahama is not only scary but also empty.
“Every time Mahama speaks, you can see how desperate he is…He is so desperate that he can insult without thinking. They do not have a single solution to the country’s problems. Mahama is just desperate to regain control of the country, so he likes to falsely claim that he has all the answers to the country’s problems. Why not in Mahama Ghana is facing various problems like Dumsor collapsed many businesses, poor infrastructure and so on.
Speaking at the TESCON general meeting at Accra Technical University College, Mr. Nii Noi added; “We want to hear something new and different from John Mahama. we want to hear him say he will do free tertiary education, we want to hear he will take care of our children from birth to 18, we want to hear he will take full medical bills from mothers and our old father…we want to hear new and different ideas from him and not always try to rubbish someones good initiative.
He asked Mr. Mahama and the NDC to name one social intervention they have done for Ghanaians.
“Why am I saying this, because whenever the NPP is in power, we create a lot of social interrelations ie, Maternal Care for pregnant mothers, NHIS for free medical care, free SHS and so on.
“Mr. Mahama’s incompetence has even destroyed the gains made by the former Kufuor administration, thereby increasing the plight of the people. In the midst of challenges, we are still building roads, building schools, paying allowances for nurses and teachers…”
Mr. Nii Noi also expressed the need for all TESCON members to make sacrifices and have a strong heart to achieve victory for the NPP.
“With all of you I believe we will break eight. The good people of Ghana will endure the NPP government because of our good deeds. Put your energy and strength into this constituency and we will reward you because NPP rewards hard work.
Get that number get people and help us get rid of the number 8″, he said.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Coastal Development Authority, Jerry Ahmed Shaib also advised the youth not to ignore the promises of former President Mahama and the work of President Akufo Addo who championed every student on campus.
If you prefer to go back home, accept Mahama’s empty promises. John Mahama is not an option.
He also urged them to vote for Nii Noi Nortey when nominations are opened.
“In 2024 look for someone who is energetic, with whom you see a connection, friendly and reliable. We are looking for a candidate who will speak up, who will empower us and wrest this seat from the NDC. Check out for the right candidate.
