
He made this known at a program themed “The economic future of Ghana” at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
He said, “I believe that agriculture will lift Ghana out of poverty and ensure not only food security but also generate the resources needed for the development of other sectors including industry, health, education and infrastructure in the medium to long term.
“This is evident from the current economic challenges facing the world, food, renewable energy, water, and big data will drive this new order.”
“Africa, especially Ghana can lead this new order by strengthening all economic sectors and transforming agriculture sustainably,” said the former Minister of Agriculture.
He also launched a presidential campaign to run on the NPP ticket in the 2024 general election.
He touched on how his administration will revive Ghana’s ailing economy.
He also said that he has campaigned quietly since resigning as Minister of Agriculture.
