Medeama SC join heated race for Aduana FC midfielder Seidu Saana

Medeama SC have entered the race for Aduana FC midfielder Seidu Saana, joining a growing list of Ghana Premier League giants chasing the highly rated 22-year-old.

The Tarkwa-based club have made contact with the player’s representatives as they look to bolster their midfield options ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Medeama are now pushing to secure his signature on a free transfer, adding further intrigue to an already intense transfer battle.

Aduana FC, who signed Saana from Division One side Tema Youth in July 2024, have opened negotiations to extend his contract in a bid to fend off the growing interest. The Dormaa-based club view the midfielder, who has developed into an indispensable asset, as a key part of their plans.

Saana, currently valued at €75,000, captained Aduana FC to a crucial 2-0 away victory over Swedru All Blacks earlier this year, highlighting both his leadership qualities and influence in the heart of midfield. He has also earned recognition at the national level, having been invited to the Black Galaxies camp.

The midfielder’s rising profile has attracted interest from several top-flight clubs. Asante Kotoko have explicitly identified Saana as a primary transfer target, entering the race aggressively to reinforce their midfield options. Hearts of Oak are also closely monitoring the situation.

Saana now faces a definitive career decision. He must choose between extending his stay at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park or embarking on a fresh challenge with Medeama SC, Asante Kotoko, or Hearts of Oak.

With all four clubs locked in a competitive pursuit, the final verdict rests entirely on Saana’s personal ambitions as negotiations between his representatives and the interested parties intensify ahead of the 2026/27 season.
