Ghanaian attacker Prince Kwabena Adu scored the decisive goal as Viktoria Plzen secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Banik Ostrava at Městský stadion in 1.Liga Round 27.

The 22-year-old found the net in the 35th minute, converting an assist from Amar Memic to give the visitors a crucial away win.

Adu was withdrawn in the 72nd minute after completing an impressive performance, making way for Mohamed Toure as Plzen protected their slender advantage. The striker earned a match rating of 7.6, highlighting his influential display.

The forward has now made 25 appearances in the 2025/26 1.Liga season, contributing seven goals and one assist to Plzen’s campaign. His consistent goalscoring form has been instrumental in the team’s pursuit of a European qualification spot.

Plzen sits third on the league table with 53 points after 30 games, maintaining their push for a top-three finish. The victory snapped a two-match scoring drought for Plzen, who had drawn 0-0 with Slavia Prague and lost 1-0 to Pardubice in their previous outings.
