Many fans have accused the castmate Melissa Gorga from not having a real storyline and revolving her plot around her sister-in-law Theresa Judge. In the previous season, Melissa and her husband Joe Gorga appears to ditch the relationship with Kathy and Jacqueline Laurita for they made peace with Teresa, who quarreled with them.
In an Instagram comment shared by @allabouttrh, Kathy responded to fans as to why she wasn’t on the show.
“My problem is that I never rehearse what I’m going to say, like most people,” he wrote. “So sometimes when I try to get my point across, I get confused about the right words.”
The alum went on to say, “The fact that I signed up, I didn’t change to make a ‘good story’ or ‘good TV’ like many do. [castmates] exercise.”
Kathy added, “After a while on a reality show, a lot of people get caught up in that life and want/need to stay in that world to make ‘reality’ interesting.”
“I am me,” she said simply. “I’m old, I’m smart, I’m big and I continue to learn every day is a blessing. Thank God.”
Recently, Jacqueline’s former castmate called Melissa “manipulative,” and she said she’s good at lying with a “straight face.”
“Let’s just say she’s really good at lying while keeping it straight and really good at fooling people,” Jacqueline wrote on Instagram. “I started to see another side of Teresa when Melissa came.”
In the episode of WWHL: After the ShowMelissa claims she and Joe are “sad” they are no longer cousins Kathy and Rosie Pieri in life (after cutting him off during Teresa’s temporary alliance).
Many viewers have pointed out the convenience of that comment, considering it no longer serves Joe and Melissa as antagonists to their brothers.
