Accra Mall robbery: Police are chasing two men for allegedly stealing $1,600
Police say they are looking for two people for allegedly stealing 1,600 dollars from a forex bureau at Accra Mall in the early hours of Monday, February 27.
Two suspects, according to the victim, entered the forex bureau under the pretext of exchanging money but managed to steal a few dollars from the bureau’s counter on the blind side of the clerk.
After realizing the money had been stolen, officers gave chase, but the two men got into a waiting vehicle and fled.
An investigation is underway to arrest the suspected thieves so they can be brought to justice.
“We want to urge the general public, especially forex bureau operators to be vigilant and if necessary report any suspicious activity to the police, as this could be a new approach adopted by criminals to steal from unsuspecting people,” he said. Police said on February 27.
