One of the problems facing the former prime minister, Boris Johnson, is that in the current polls he could struggle to remain an MP after the next election. The constituencies of Uxbridge and South Ruislip changed due to the new boundaries and looking at the numbers it is difficult to see how we can have any confidence in holding them.
One of the suggestions he floated was that he could find another seat that would be safer for the Tories. Boris’s main supporter and biggest cheerleader, Nadine Dorries, is standing in Mid Bedfordshire and there is speculation that she could replace him.
Whatever Boris decides he wants to stay in British politics, I’m sure he’ll find a seat he can hold. The big question is whether he wants to stay at Westminster
I think this could be a good bet and Johnson will still be an MP. He is still ambitious and would love to return to Number 10.
