Fox News dedicated a segment to mocking Lego for “going to wake up” because it represents people with physical and mental disabilities in its new product line.
“Don’t do that,” Fox News host Harris Faulkner said on his program Wednesday. “Lego is waking up. The company is unveiling some new characters in an effort to be more inclusive. Lego says the new characters will promote diversity and understanding.
“Some will have anxiety issues. I don’t know how you show it,” he added, as guest, Fox News radio host Jimmy Failla, mocked. “One will have a missing limb. Another, Down syndrome. This is a very important issue.
The brand recently introduced new characters in the Friends line, including those with different skin tones, disabilities, limb differences and vitiligo.
The company says that after providing feedback that “children have a desire to see themselves, their friends and family better.”
Somehow, according to Failla, this is outrageous.
“It doesn’t have to be the way it is,” Failla said. “But the reason they force identity into play is because they think identity has a built-in political orientation. And that’s the same after here. I don’t have it.”
Fox News hosts have made a habit of melting down through changes for everything from children’s toys to candy as part of the grievance war of conservative culture through the so-called “woke” efforts to increase diversity and representation.
