ABCNews can authoritatively confirm that contrary to the team Alan has launched, the former Minister of Trade and Industry is indeed the Chairman of the Economic Management Committee of President Akufo-Addo’s Cabinet.
The Economic Committee of the Cabinet in 2022 has the Minister of Trade and Industry, as the Chairman, while the Minister of Finance is the Alternate Chairman.
Other members of the Economic Committee are the Minister of Food and Agriculture, the Minister of Energy, the Minister of Labor and Labor Relations.
The Minister of Fisheries and Fisheries, the Minister of Public Enterprises, the Senior Presidential Adviser and the Presidential Adviser on the Economy made the list.
It may be recalled that the Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annor-Dompreh, in an interview with Akwasi Nsiah on Badwam Adom TV show, insisted that the claim that Bawumia has misled the economy as the leader of the Economic Committee is false.

ABCNews has documents that clearly and unambiguously state that Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng is indeed the Chairman of the Akufo-Addo Cabinet Committee.
However, it is important for the general public to understand the workings of the Economic Management Team headed by the Vice President in relation to the Cabinet.
All memoranda for the cabinet must be sponsored by the ministry and the ministry seeks the approval of the cabinet Committee before it is presented to the cabinet.
On the floor of the cabinet is the chairman of the Committee like a parliamentary committee that provides the committee report.
The Economic Management Team (EMT) is merely an adhoc advisory committee appointed by the President. No minister should submit a policy to the emt for approval. The EMT report was not presented to the Cabinet.
Decisions taken in the EMT to be sent to the Cabinet still have to go through the Cabinet sub-committees through the respective ministries.
