Just a week after Slade smile and Gretchen Rossi announced that Slade’s son, Grayson Smiley-Arroyo22, died after losing a long battle with brain cancer since the age of six, Grayson’s biological mother, Michelle Arroyoit’s slamming the former The Real Housewives of Orange County star for allegedly “capitalizing” off Grayson’s.
Michelle recently told TMZ that neither Slade nor Gretchen have made a conscious effort to see Grayson in nearly 10 years, calling Gretchen’s tribute post in Grayson’s honor “disgusting.”
He went on to accuse the couple of using Grayson’s death for personal gain and sympathy. He said that Slade and Gretchen “really took the blame for their relationship with Grayson, which is almost non-existent.”
Michelle confirmed to the outlet that not only did she lose her home, business, and life savings to pay for Grayson’s ongoing care, but after Gretchen and Slade’s “behavior and neglect,” she has hired a lawyer to sue her for the alleged $152K. unpaid child support from Slade.
Michelle also revealed that she and her family have started a GoFundMe pages to help cover Grayson’s memorial and final medical expenses – a bill that Michelle claims Slade is partially responsible for but has failed to pay.
At the time of writing this post, the fund has raised over $32K of its desired goal of $75K.
In response to Michelle’s claims, a source close to the RHOC The couple told TMZ that Slade is baffled and hurt by his ex’s accusations. The source said Slade is taking “every opportunity” to keep his son alive, but Michelle has “denied access” to Grayson “hundreds”.
The source concluded that Slade had text and email exchanges to back up his claims, and he said that Slade believed Michelle “should be ashamed of herself for trying to put it in” while crying.
