After the 67-year-old actor’s family announced the diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, Scout Willis take for Instagram Stories there and open up to his followers about how he has struggled emotionally with the situation. Despite feeling tired at this time, he also expressed his gratitude for everyone’s support at this time. Scout wrote:
“Feeling emotionally drained and a little overwhelmed, but also in awe of the love so many people have for my dad.”
It is understood the 31-year-old was “overwhelmed” after receiving a difficult update on her father’s health. And Scout isn’t the only one who feels that way. His sister gossip and Tallulah Willis support her sentiments. Tallulah first shared Scout’s post, adding her own message that read:
“This second Scouter feels so much love for our men and our families”

Rumer then followed up on his story, saying:
“I am the third Scouter and [Tallulah] feeling very grateful and in awe of the love for us and sweet Daddio.”

As Bruce’s condition progresses, we hope that the media’s attention can focus on shining a light on this disease that needs more awareness and research.
In case you didn’t know, FTD affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain – which regulate personality, speech, and emotions. This disease causes parts of the lobes to atrophy, causing people to experience personality changes, obsessive behavior, and difficulty speaking.
The Willis family then noted that if Bruce could, he would like to take the time to bring “global visibility and connect with people who also experience this devastating disease and how it affects so many individuals and their families.” They ended the statement by saying:
“Bruce always found joy in life – and helped everyone he knew to do the same. It means the world can see that care returned to him and to all of us. We love you all so much as a friend, father and friend. dearest during this difficult time.Your compassion, understanding, and respect will help Bruce live life to the fullest.
