Melissa Gorga open her and Joe Gorga‘s new home for a demo earlier this week.
After showing several areas of the six-bedroom, 5,000-square-foot home, including the kitchen, master bedroom, and in-ground pool, over the past few weeks, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star showcased never-before-seen rooms, including two bars and Joe’s poker room.
In the middle of Melissa’s February 14 tour with Entertainment Tonight, she spoke to reporters Brice Sanders.
Light wooden floors can be found throughout the house.
After taking Brice into her home office, which has glass walls and built-in shelving, Melissa says the private space is a “must”.
“I spend a lot of time in the office, I’m on Zooms all day … so I want to be part of the house, but I also want to have my own little space,” she explained.
Melissa’s home office has black floors and white walls.
“It’s bougie,” Melissa continued into her office. “The chandelier that’s all crystal and diamonds … I really like it there.”
Melissa’s office chandelier hangs from the tray ceiling.
Across the foyer from Melissa’s front office is the smaller of Melissa’s two bars, where she and Joe enjoy their “small. [cocktails] previous [they] out to dinner.”
The dining room looks beyond the bar.
After joking that their little bar is the “lobby” of their house, Melissa takes Brice downstairs to see the bigger bar.
“This is the fun zone. This is where you have so much fun, take your shoes off,” he said.
Just beyond the line is the poker room.
“You can imagine The Real Housewives of New Jersey people and the poker game they want to play in this room,” Melissa predicted, who was listening that she and Joe made a deal when they built a house that he would get an office while he would get a poker room.
“It’s always ready to go. The house is always full of drinks, all the time,” he continued. “You want an invitation to Gorga’s party!”
Joe’s poker room is an extension of the main front bar.
There is also a gym downstairs.
There is also a place to watch movies.
“When the kids come over with their friends and stuff … they hang out here,” Melissa said.
The movie watching area in Melissa’s house has a fireplace and dim lighting.
Moving back upstairs, Melissa moved the glass door to the side as she displayed the outdoor patio and kitchen.
“A big part of the house, we want indoor and outdoor space. So if it’s not freezing in New Jersey, we’ll spend a lot of time here,” he shared, noting, “There’s a barbecue and stuff.”
The outdoor patio has a television and fireplace next to a large round table.
Also during the conversation with Brice, Melissa was asked if the cheating rumors came up RHONJ season 13 created a stronger bond.
“I wouldn’t say it’s empowering, but I would say, like, there’s a lot of noise out there, especially on reality television,” she admits. “We’re one of the longest-running couples on reality TV in general. [So] there is a lot of noise, and we have learned to tune out and not listen.
Despite the odds stacked against them, Melissa and Joe, who have been married for 18 years, remain dedicated to each other and the health of their relationship.
“At the end of the day, Joe and I spend a lot of time together, we really do. We keep our feet on the ground, we know the chaos that is on this show, but we stay normal in this house,” he said. “Even with the kids and they like the school stuff, we just don’t let that distraction come in.”
Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
