Talks between Jesse Marsch and Southampton over the former Leeds boss becoming the new manager have broken down.
Sky Sports News understand that the final details of the contract duration are the main stumbling blocks and also Marsch’s feeling that the Southampton job is not right for him at this time.
Marsch met with the owner today in Southampton and after several hours of negotiations, both parties agreed to leave.
Marsch has almost become the new Saints boss just a week after being sacked by Leeds.
