Jesurun Rak-Sakyiâ??s double inspires Rizesporâ??s 5-2 win over Antalyaspor
Caykur Rizespor delivered a clinical performance on Friday evening, toppling Antalyaspor 5â2 in a thrilling Super Lig clash at Corendon Airlines Park.
The visitors set the tempo from kick-off, with English-Ghanaian winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi breaking the deadlock just four minutes in, finishing off a neat move thanks to Qazim Laçi’s creativity. Václav Jurecka doubled the lead five minutes later, capitalizing on a swift counterattack.
Antalyaspor found a lifeline through Soner Dikmen in the 13th minute, but it was Rak-Sakyi again, this time early in the second half, who dampened the home crowd with his second goal. The game’s turning point came when Antalyaspor’s Sander van de Streek saw red in the 59th minute, leaving his side a man down.
As gaps emerged, Rizespor took full advantage. Altin Zeqiri and Valentin Mihaila netted late strikes, while Tomas Cvancara’s consolation could not stop the visitors’ charge.
Rizespor will take on Trabzonspor on October 18th at the Ãaykur Didi Stadyumu.
