Oppong Nkrumah praised Citi TV/Citi FM for pushing Ghana’s tourism agenda higher
Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah praised Citi TV/Citi FM for pushing the country’s domestic tourism agenda higher.
He gave the compliments while launching Heritage Month 2023 held at Citi TV’s new luxury venue at No. 5 Owula Hansen Lane in Tesano, Accra on Monday, February 13, 2023.
“This year, it’s fun to see, when we work together to develop the country’s tourism potential, you [Citi TV and Citi FM] has pushed the domestic tourism agenda higher with Heritage Month. I want to commend you for doing that. My hope is that many of my colleagues watching and listening will invite their loved ones to visit Ghana, when you visit Ghana. I want to congratulate and celebrate you.”
“As you said, by the power vested in me, I hereby declare Heritage Month 2023,” he said.
The month of March will be dedicated to showcasing the rich culture of Ghana on Citi TV and Citi FM.
Throughout the month, there will be an itinerary of significant historical and cultural activities to highlight the month through food, tradition, music, and fashion, among others.
The Heritage On-Air-Series on Citi TV and Citi FM will also feature cultural subjects and places.
It started on February 27, 2023, and will last until the end of March. It’s theme: “Make it Ghana.”
Part of the event is the trip of a lifetime – the ‘Heritage Caravan’ which helps visitors discover Ghana for seven wonderful days from 4 – 11 March 2023.
Between March 25-26, 2023, there will be a “Back to Your Village” Food Bazaar – a two-day exhibition featuring indigenous food and beverages.
Heritage Month organized by Citi TV and Citi FM in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), the National Film Authority, and the Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC).
