MANILA, Philippines—Anyang KGC won its eighth straight after defeating Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, 70-64, despite being quietly defeated by Rhenz Abando in the Korea Basketball League at the Daegu Gymnasium on Sunday.
Abando scored just three points in 17 minutes but had four rebounds and two steals for the top-ranked Anyang, which went up 31-11.
SJ Belangel scored eight points for Daegu (13-27) in the loss.
Dave Ildefonso continued to play limited minutes as Suwon KT Sonicboom buried Jeonju KCC Egis, 86-73, at Suwon KT Arena.
Logging just seven minutes, Ildefonso finished with just a point and an assist. Suwon increased to 18-23.
Justin Gutang barely played either in Changwon LG Sakers’ 94-84 loss to Seoul SK Knights at Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium.
