Hello, Ellie? Jenna Ortega may have been absent from the last two seasons of You – but that doesn’t mean viewers won’t be able to see his face on the Netflix hit again.
“Any undead character who knows anything about Joe is fair game to try to get justice,” the showrunner said Will gamble toward IndieWire in an interview published on Thursday, February 9. “And any characters that are dead, [Joe] have a very active imagination.”

“People like Wednesday seem to be one tone. But there are different routes that can be taken with people like him,” Ortega told Netflix Tum in November 2022 after the premiere of season 1. “Adding a layer of insecurity or quality of life that makes a teenager a teenager is really interesting.”
He added, “Especially with a character that we’ve never had a chance to get to know well enough, because he’s always been the only one, with a funny punch line. To really have that frustration and uncertainty is really interesting to play and discover.”
