Nigeria boasts three BIGS. First, it is the largest democracy in Africa; secondly, it is the main producer of oil in Africa and thirdly it is the largest economy on the African continent. But skeptics and critics of the country’s economic progress often point to very bad numbers: Nigeria is considered the world’s home to the largest population of poor people on the planet. But in the country, one of the areas is blamed for causing the poverty of the population.
