“The partisan left’s ritualist wailing and gnashing of teeth over Colbert is quite revealing,” wrote Carr — who served as FCC commissioner during Trump’s first term and under former President Joe Biden — in a post on X.
“They’re acting like they’re losing a loyal DNC spokesperson that was entitled to an exemption from the laws of economics,” he continued.
Carr also reacted to Colbert deriding the president for celebrating the cancellation, which CBS has described as “purely a financial decision.”

Back in April, Trump declared that CBS should lose its broadcast license following “60 Minutes” segments on Ukraine and Greenland, in which foreign officials criticized the president, urging Carr to “impose the maximum fines and punishment… for their unlawful and illegal behavior.”
