NDC CAUCUS IN PARLIAMENT STRENGTHENING INFRINGEMENT OF THE LAW AND EFFORTS TO BREAK PARLIAMENT AND OVERSIGHT OF PARLIAMENT
The NDC Caucus in Parliament strongly condemns the naked and shameful abuse of the judiciary by certain undemocratic elements who seek to make fun of NDC Members of Parliament and prevent us from carrying out our constitutional oversight mandate.
Disrespectful and cowardly legal action directed at my respected colleague, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa by President Akufo-Addo who was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the scandalous Ghana National Cathedral who now claims to be called Kwabena Adu Gyamfi even though all public records including the incorporation document show that he was appointed Reverend Victor. Kusi Boateng is nothing more than a desperate attempt to circumvent the parliamentary inquiry and deviate from justice.
To grant an interim injunction preventing further publication is of immense public interest and to persons of doubtful dual identity is a constitutional affront.
In any case, the claim of the applicant that the continuous publication of personal information violates his privacy raises legitimate, legal and logical questions about the dual identity with different names, different dates of birth, different TINS , different mothers and different . The national ID actually shows him.
It is also most appalling that the court will grant an exparte injunction in this matter and especially when the indisputable court records show that the person who now claims to be Kwabena Adu Gyamfi alias Victor Kusi Boateng only got a decision from the court. the same court as Victor Kusi Boateng.
The NDC Caucus in Parliament also condemned in the strongest possible terms the disregard for due process on how Members of Parliament will be served with court documents through the Speaker of Parliament. Many Speakers of Parliament in the political section have emphasized this in many constitutional decisions.
Ambushing the MP with a secret video recording in the grounds of the television station after an interview by someone ironically claiming to be the apostle of privacy protection as happened to our distinguished colleague, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa in the Metro TV region on February 3, 2023 can only be the orchestration of a frustrated and lawless cabal.
This is a real travesty that in the current government, the offenders are shielded and emboldened when zealous and patriotic Members of Parliament fulfill their constitutional mandates that are vilified, witchhunted and threatened with imprisonment.
The NDC Caucus in Parliament wishes to express its full confidence in the impressive, courageous and patriotic quality of parliamentary oversight of our respected colleague, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa pursues the conflict of interests of the national cathedral and the double identity scandal.
Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa can count on our solidarity, especially in the case of the disrespectful, irritating and ridiculous Kwabena Adu Gyamfi—Victor Kusi Boateng.
The Minority Group in Parliament hereby declares that we will not be intimidated or intimidated by judicial abuse, tyranny and fascist tactics.
We are determined to boldly pursue all aspects of the scandalous National Cathedral project and issues related to conflicts of interest, dual identities, diversions, procurement violations and blatant corruption without intention or obstruction during the 3rd Session of this 8th Parliament.
We will disappoint God and our beloved brothers and women if we fail in this noble mission.
May God help us.
enter,
Hon. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson
[Leader, Minority Group in Parliament]
