The trending clip shows the actress running into Chidi’s warm embrace, jumping and circling her legs amid wild screams.

After hugging, the duo locked lips for a moment.

They did not set their eyes on each other for a long time as they kept saying “too” amid screams.

The actors met on the set of ‘Ruthless’ produced by Vincent Okonkwo and starring Zubby Michael.

Not many know the actor has been a friend and colleague for over 30 years, even before Nollywood existed.

That’s why every time they meet on set, it’s usually magical.

Both sides

As actors, Mokeme and Henshaw share some similarities.

Both belong to the same generation as the so-called old Nollywood.

Mokeme started her career as a commercial and fashion model before transitioning to the screen.

Like Mokeme, before becoming an actress, Henshaw worked as a model, appearing in various commercials, including an ad for Shield deodorant.

Also, before joining the Nollywood mainstream, the actors tried their hand at the Yoruba genre of Nigerian films.

Mokeme, 50, and Kate, 51, both speak fluent Yoruba despite not being from the area.

They have acted in several films together, including ‘Aiming High’, ‘And to Love and to Cherish’, which was released in the early 2000s and many others.

However, there is one important difference between the actors.

Chidi, in 2012, married a Nigerian-American medical doctor, Jean Olumba, with whom they have a son.

Kate, on the other hand, married Roderick Nuttal in 1999, with whom she has a daughter. They divorced in 2011.

The reaction

Reactions from Twitter users showed that the majority of people understood the kiss, although there were some doubts.

Mokeme has been in the news a lot lately for various reasons.

His role as Scar in ‘Shanty Town won him many awards. Scar portrays a brutal and ferocious enforcer who provides the muscle needed to run a prostitution ring.

To get into the role, the actor said that he had to go through some body modifications.

“Some of the body modifications I did for the character of Scar were shaving my hair and going bald. I also didn’t shower for a few days before going on set so when they said I had to do something dirty, I could do it freely because I knew I wasn’t clean.

“Sometimes I don’t brush my teeth, and when I open my mouth to talk to people, they wonder what I am,” he said in an interview with the BBC.

He also said that he had to smoke to create his gruff voice in the series.
