Justin Rose ended four years without a win on the PGA Tour with an impressive three-stroke victory on Monday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in California.

The Englishman took a two-shot lead into the fifth day, with eight players separated by three shots, only to pull out of the chasing pack with an excellent back-nine display at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Rose continued at the 10th hole and made three birdies in four holes starting at the 11th, before closing in with a six-under 66 to end the week at 18 under and comfortably ahead of nearest challengers Brendon Todd and Brandon Wu.

The win gave Rose his 11th PGA Tour title, but his first since the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open, with his latest success earning him a spot at The Masters in April and boosting his hopes of qualifying for Europe’s Ryder Cup team this fall.

The former world No. 1 restarted the final round from the 10th fairway and holed from five feet to start with par, although he found the lead to one when Todd opened with a birdie at the 13th to six in for his round.

An elated Rose reflected on winning the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am while ending a four-year drought without a PGA Tour victory.

“One thing I’ve realized is obviously I haven’t been playing very good golf, but when I’m playing halfway decent, I’m giving myself a chance to win,” Rose said. “It was great today to play with the lead.

“Obviously winning gives you a lot of confidence. We always knew we could do it, but sometimes you have to see the proof. [winning] makes me feel good.”
