The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) said a maritime patrol aircraft, a Cessna Citation CJ3, on a routine flight on Monday, made a controlled belly landing at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Wap Maigida, an air commodore, in a statement in Abuja, said the plane lost a tire on a touch-and-go flight in Ilorin.
Mr. Maigida said that no one was killed or injured in the body or people in the field.
He said the Chief of Air Staff, Oladayo Amao, an air marshal, has directed the immediate constitution of a Board of Investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
