For the past several years, the ratings for the Teen Mom franchise have dropped dramatically, and women who have been with the show since its inception are worried about their future employment.
Meanwhile, Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer are out when they get good, and the couple’s decision guarantee on MTV in 2020 looks smarter every day.
Today, Chelsea and Cole have their own HGTV renovation show called Down Home Fab.
And if you haven’t heard, he’s the biggest star on the network!

The first episode of Chelsea and Cole’s show got huge ratings.
To put it in perspective, about twice as many people look at it Down Home Fab premiere is the latest episode of Teenage Moms: Family Reunion.
Of course, it’s too early to start celebrating, because primes can be deceiving.

Network officials may have advocated that viewers watch out of curiosity and dislike what they see.
But then something surprising happened – the second episode of Down Home Fab got higher ratings.
In fact, as The Ashley’s Reality Roundup reports, the show is the top non-news cable show in two very important demographics: women ages 25-54, and “upscale” women ages 25-54.

(The latter is one of my favorite demos of all.)
Now, in a relatively rare move, HGTV has announced a mid-season renewal, meaning Chelsea and Cole will soon be on the job. Down Home Fab Season 2!
“Chelsea and Cole’s undeniable on-screen chemistry and enthusiasm brings millions of fans each week to the HGTV platform,” wrote Loren Ruch, HGTV’s Chief Content Officer, in a press release issued earlier this week.

“We can’t wait to get the ball rolling on the new season, and in the meantime we’ve got three upcoming episodes and more digital content with this dynamic couple.”
We don’t know much about Chelsea and Cole’s contract with the network, but you can bet it’s a lucrative one.
After all, these two will be HGTV’s newest breakout stars.

If you’re a fan of home renovation reality shows, you probably know that HGTV produces them many the original series.
So that’s a fact Down Home Fab the biggest set of numbers for a new show on the network since May 2022 is huge.
We probably don’t need to tell you that most reality stars peak early, and when the events that made them famous went downhill, their careers declined right along with it.

But Chelsea and Cole bucked the trend in a major way.
We wish these two all the best on their new career paths!
