aYo Intermediaries Ghana (aYo Insurance), the mobile-based micro insurance wing of MTN Ghana has reported providing insurance to at least eight million Ghanaians to date, representing about 25 percent of the country’s population.
The CEO of aYo Ghana, Francis Gota who announced this at the company’s thanksgiving service to celebrate what he called “five years of extraordinary grace, goodness, mercy and blessings of God”, also noted that during this period, the company has paid a total of GHS10. million plus in claims for thousands of customers across the country.

The thanksgiving service gathered staff and stakeholders in an evening of praise, worship, prayer, words in celebration of what the CEO aptly called “THIS FAR BY GRACE”.

“It’s been a successful journey, challenges that make us innovative and better, and most importantly, positively impact society by providing relevant, accessible, and easy-to-use insurance,” he said.

Francis Gota remembers how aYo started operations in April 2017 with a 3-member team and how it has now grown to more than 900 staff members, passionately championing the vision to provide a future where everyone uses insurance.
He thanked his team very much for working hard to follow through and really stay ahead to shape the growth of aYo Ghana, despite the difficult times the company experienced during the year.
“I also like to thank our customers for giving us the opportunity to serve, and for constructive suggestions that keep us on our toes to provide the best experience,” he said.

The CEO of aYo Ghana advised the team not to lose sight of the impact of their work on the lives of the most vulnerable people in society, the difficulties they face due to the loss of loved ones, and the daily risks, and invited. they will be inspired to continue working to improve the lives of their customers as they strive to create a better tomorrow through aYo insurance solutions.

“We don’t just sell insurance, we make a difference in the lives of millions of Ghanaians, by protecting them from unexpected financial shocks that affect livelihoods, reduce savings, and can lead to poverty,” he said.

Francis Gota also expressed his appreciation to the supportive management team for their dedication and good leadership role that they continue to exhibit, and thanked aYo partners for their collaboration, support and guidance.
He reminded all stakeholders that “We have a lot of work ahead of us this year, and my wish is for all of us to maintain the unquenchable fire that started 5 years ago. Let us continue to make a positive impact in the lives of Ghanaians.

Pdt. John Kofi Korsah, Associate Pastor at ICGC Christ Temple East led the intercessory prayer during the service, while Rev. Ebenezer Hamilton, Senior Associate Pastor of The Keeper’s House Chapel International delivered the sermon.

But the service was dominated by songs of praise and worship led by Minister Carl Klottey.
The night was also awarded with several awards for Best Sales Manager, Best Team Leader, Best Sales Executive, Best Sales Team, Service Champion, Best Support Staff and more.
