The construction of Teshie road will start in the second quarter of 2023 – Ledzokuku MCE
The Municipal Chief Executive of Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly, Mordecai Quarshie, has assured residents in his jurisdiction that the bad inner roads will be repaired.
In an interview with Citi NewsThe MCE admitted that the condition of the roads in his catchment area is a concern of the residents and added that the government is aware of this.
He said that work will start at the beginning of the second quarter of 2023.
“I can’t get this opportunity without assuring the people that the government is very aware of the condition of the internal roads and will do it. In the second quarter, the work will start. I hope that in the second quarter the work will start. The residents should expect to see the road the inside that was damaged through diversions and so on, everything needs to be repaired. The work should start in the second quarter, and we should see a rapid increase in the work being done. I know that the residents are very concerned about this. Wherever we go, people are raising and it is true. The condition of our roads needs attention. I just want to assure you that the necessary attention has been given and the work should start in the second quarter.
Currently, the government is starting the La Beach Road project which is one of the major initiatives in the road sector.
It starts at the Independence Arch at Black Star Square in Accra through Osu, La, Teshie to Nungua.
MCE for Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly, Mordecai Quashie, told Citi News that the road project in Teshie and Nungua is 80% complete.
