Talk about a whirlwind! Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson tied the knot after being together for just four days – and the relationship was anything but a breeze.
The two met in December 1994 and took a vacation to Cancún six weeks later. Just 96 hours into their getaway, they were married, but their romance was not happy when they returned to California.
In 1995, Rand Gauthier, a downtrodden electrician fired from his job at the home of Mötley Crüe artist, steals a sex tape the couple made while living on a houseboat in Lake Mead. While the footage couldn’t circulate on the internet as it is today, copies were available for purchase – and viewed by thousands.
Anderson and Lee filed a $10 million lawsuit to try to prevent the tapes from being published, but the suit was eventually dropped. Two decades after its release, the Baywatch star admitted he’d “never seen” the tape.
“I didn’t get one dollar. It was stolen property. We made a deal to stop all the shenanigans,” he said during a 2015 appearance at Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
Five years later, he clarified during another conversation Andy Cohen which is not a sex tape, but a “holiday compilation where we are naked.”
Before they called it quits in 1998, the former couple welcomed a son Brandon and Dylan. The drama surrounding the infamous video took a toll on their relationship.
“Can’t do anything… about it [the tape] added frustration and stress to our relationship,” Lee said during an episode of 20/20 in 2014. “It’s just eating away at us.”
Tensions quickly rose between the couple, and in 1998, the rocker was arrested after an altercation with his wife. He was sentenced to six months in prison after pleading no contest to a sex crime.
“I don’t know why Pamela followed through on the allegations,” Lee wrote in the band’s 2001 memoir, The Dirt. “He was probably scared and thought I was a crazy and violent monster; he probably thought he was doing something about the rights of children; and he probably wanted an easy way out of a difficult situation. As much as I love Pamela, she has problems solving problems .
In 2008, the duo decided to give romance “801[st]” tried, with the artist “Sunday” told The stone is rolling that Anderson and his children had moved back in with him. However, the reunion was short-lived, and the two broke up in 2010.
Anderson is also married to Rock boy from 2006 to 2007, and to Rick Salomon from 2007 to 2008 (and again from 2014 to 2015). He fell into a whirlwind romance with John Peters in 2020, and despite rumors of marriage, Us Weekly reported in February 2020 that they never obtained a marriage license. He is married And Hayhurst in December 2020.
Lee, for his part, is married to Elaine Starchuk from 1984 to 1985 and Heather Locklear from 1986 to 1993. In 2019, he got married Brittany Furlan.
