Nicolas Raskin is set to join Rangers, with the Ibrox club completing a deal with Standard Liege for the midfielder.
The 21-year-old has been one of manager Michael Beale’s main targets this transfer window and will be Rangers’ second January arrival following the signing of Todd Cantwell.
Raskin, who is also reportedly attracting interest from a number of clubs across Europe, is set to complete a move to Glasgow before Tuesday’s deadline.
Rangers also remain interested in Swansea striker Morgan Whittaker, with Beale confirming the club are in negotiations with a range of targets.

“There’s a lot of noise around one or two players there, so a lot of them grow arms and legs that might not be right,” he said.
“All I’m saying is we’re busy in the background. It’s not just two names we’re looking at. I wouldn’t be surprised if the names are different or not at all.
“I knew going into the club that this window was close, but the club may have targets that don’t match my ideas or plans, and vice versa, what I want may not be available now.
“We can get Todd and if we can get one or two of the names you mentioned – or one or two that haven’t got the scent – then that’ll be great.
“Otherwise, I think our squad is strong enough to get to the end of the season. So it’s not like I’m going to get hurt, next week if I don’t sign another one.
“There is money to be spent but there is money to be spent on the right things.”
