The case against the former Limpopo policewoman, accused of sexually grooming and raping her son, has been adjourned to February 6, 2023, for a bail application.
The officer, who cannot be named to protect his child’s identity, appeared briefly in the Siyabuswa Magistrate’s Court on charges of rape and sexual grooming.
A 40-year-old policeman was arrested on Friday, January 20, after a video emerged of him having sex with his son. The boy is believed to be only ten years old when the video was taken.
The former policeman is accused of raping his young son and is believed to have created and distributed child pornography.

A video clip that shocked South Africans
A video clip that has surfaced on social media shows a naked policewoman directing her son to perform sexual acts on her.
The mother and son were naked in the clip, and it looked like she was recording herself forcing the boy to perform sexual acts on her.
The boy, who looked innocent and childlike, seemed uncomfortable with his mother’s clear instructions.
As the child follows the instructions, the mother stares into the camera lens, appearing emotionless throughout the video.

Ipid opposes bail
The Independent Police Investigation Directorate (Ipid) is preparing to oppose the bail application, which will be heard in court on Monday.
The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service (Saps) in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, also strongly criticized the rape.
“This woman’s actions are very bad and she deserves to be blamed.
“The suspect was accused of committing a crime when he was still a public servant in Saps, he should have known better that such an indecent act has serious consequences,” Hadebe added.
An internal police process has been initiated after his arrest and will run parallel to the criminal investigation carried out by Ipid.
The boy has been moved to a safe place where he is receiving psychological treatment and assistance.
