For a marriage to be strong, gospel musician Diana Hamilton believes that a couple’s determination to make it come true.
Not only that, because Diana, who recently celebrated her 17th wedding anniversary, also thinks that marrying a friend will make it easier to overcome the challenges that will arise in the union.
Diana, who is also a nurse by profession, is married to a medical doctor, Dr. Joseph Hamilton, and they have twins – Michael and Michaela.
Speaking to Graphic Showbiz, the Artiste of the Year 2021 continued to explain his marriage by saying: “You don’t wake up one day to reach a certain level in marriage. You have to be intentional about it and build it from scratch. More so, when you get married with the right set of minds ; if I am here to stay and make it possible, it will last forever.
Asked what has worked for her all these years, Diana Hamilton said it was grace and probably because she married a friend.
“I won’t say that I know everything, because marriage is a very long journey. But the knot with my friend helps a lot, but there is also the decision to do something. If you focus and know what you want, you will not give up easily, “he said.
As a mother, wife, nurse and musician, Diana Hamilton says it’s not easy juggling it all but she does it with grace and hard work.
“I am happy to be a proud wife, mother, nurse, musician, philanthropist and still excel in all these fields. It took grace for this to happen and I can only thank God. If I say it is easy to combine all this, then I lied, but God sees everything,” he said.
Diana, currently managed by 1615, started her music career as a backing vocalist for gospel musician Francis Agyei. In 2007, he released his debut album, Ɔsoro Bɛkasa, which enjoyed good airplay and became the center of attention.
His second album, Ensi Wo Yie, released in 2010, became a household name in the Ghanaian music scene.
Some of the awards he has won include Artiste of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2021.
In May 2021, he was announced, along with Kofi Kinaata, as Brand Ambassadors of Enterprise Life.
