A Louisiana man has been sentenced to 45 YEARS behind bars after being inspired by Jeffrey Dahmer to kidnap and kill gay men.
Lafayette resident, 21 years old Seneca’s Chance was described as having a “month-long plan to kidnap and kill a gay man” according to Department of Justice on Wednesday. The court then concluded that he “intentionally targeted the victim and other gay people because of their gender and sexual orientation.” nasty.

His name is 18-year-old boy Holden White as a victim of Seneca’s murder. He met Seneca there Grindr in 2020 before agreeing to meet someone. According to the DoJ, the 21-year-old drove out to the victim’s place, held a gun to him, and forced him to handcuff him. He then used “a number of methods” to try to kill the teenager. It only gets more annoying from there, as the release says:
“Believing that HW was dead, Seneca then tried to destroy him.”
Bad enough… But it’s unbelievable Holden survived!
Teenagers talk to Acadiana Advocate in 2021 and describes what he remembers from the horrific scene, saying that he woke up naked in the bathtub with Seneca trying to destroy him after a while:
“He was in the process of doing my left wrist. He sliced it… and it was very difficult. It was to the point that he actually tried to cut off my hand. He just looked at me with a look of fear on his face, like ‘I just did this?’ Look, I was laying in the bathtub, naked, bleeding, the water was red and cold, and I remember thinking, ‘Well, this is it.’ The last words I said to myself were ‘Keep calm,’ over and over in my head, I just kept repeating to myself to stay calm.
It’s really horrible. And it sounds a lot like villain inspiration…
Seneca finally gave up and called the police. White was taken to the hospital, where he was in a coma for three days. He eventually survived the attack, but did not suffer serious injuries and PTSD from the situation. He told the outlet a week before the sentencing his left hand and fingers on his right hand were numb, his skull was sensitive to weight, and he suffered from anxiety. The victim asked the court to impose a life sentence, saying:
“[I’m] fear for me and for other future victims who may be harmed. I fear that an 18-year-old, like me, will live forever changed by dates.
Seneca even read his letter aloud in court, claiming he was a “caring man” without a “rough bone” in his body. Uh… all evidence to the contrary?
According to a DOJ release, this nonviolent man has planned to kill again:
“After his arrest, Seneca admitted that he had planned to continue killing gay men until he was caught or killed. Seneca admitted that he had kidnapped and tried to kill HW in order to satisfy his compulsive murder fantasy. Seneca had focused on the idea of killing gay men, and the attraction this led him to spend months devising a murder-kidnapping plot that mirrored the murders of gay men committed by serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. Seneca deliberately targeted gay men, as Dahmer had done. Seneca also intended to eat and preserve the corpses of his victims, as he Dahmer had done.
“Like Dahmer has done.” Cold. Especially in light of the controversy of Netflix series (pictured above, inset) accused of glorifying the killer.
FBI Special Agent Daniel English explained that Seneca had a “fascination” with Dahmer and even named him his pet rabbit, also believing that the serial killer was not a “bad guy.” An earlier release from the DoJ said Seneca planned to follow in Dahmer’s footsteps by removing and preserving “parts of the victim’s body as trophies, mementos and food.”
Assistant Attorney General Christian Clarke from the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice said that the statement is a reminder of the prejudice that the LGBTQ+ community faces:
“The facts of this case are appalling, and the defendant’s decision to specifically target gay men is a disturbing reminder of the prejudice and unique dangers facing the LGBTQ+ community today.”
Brandon B. BrownThe U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana added in his own statement:
“No one should have to go through the horrific actions that the defendants did in this case. The victims did not think they would fall victim to a predator in such a way. Hate crimes like this are a top priority for the Department and this office, and we take cases like these seriously.
Clarke and Brown stressed the importance of internet safety to remind everyone to be careful when meeting people online. Seneca’s federal conviction leaves another court date on the state charge of attempted second-degree murder. It’s safe to say they won’t be seeing the sun for long…
