Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara (AKA Mr. Meghan Trainor) opens up about his sobriety journey!
In the latest episode of his wife It works podcast, the actor spoke about the decision to cut out “booze and marijuana” after having a conversation with his therapist. She told Meghan about the funny way she started thinking about being clean:
“He just said, ‘If you want to be on your A-game you might consider complete sobriety.’ I was like, ‘What the f**k? Sure, I want to be on my A-game.'”
Always have to be on your A game when you have adorable kids running around the place! Daryl says that talking to the therapist “sparked something” inside him — and he’s ready to “try this whole thing.”

Admittedly, the 30-year-old says that addiction is not a problem for him now:
“Even if weed isn’t bad for me right now, I don’t need to keep trying to wait for it to get bad or get a bad place.”
Polar Express Kab The star said that marijuana is “clutch” and “harder” to prevent because there are no real “consequences”. At All about the Bass The singer agrees, calling her tall husband “happy”:
“You are happy. I have a good experience with you tall near me. I’m not like, ‘Ugh, you’re annoying.’ I was like, ‘You little puppy.'”
Ha! So cute!
And to make things even better, Daryl thanked his leading lady for being his biggest supporter during his quiet journey, saying that it was just a big “trigger” for him:
“You’ve only made me a better person and I appreciate you.”

It’s amazing how he always shows his admiration for Meghan! Back in December when celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary, the Ben 10 alum shared a sweet photo carousel for Instagramcaption:
“To my love @meghantrainor… My best life started when I met you. I can’t believe I’m so lucky to be with the sweetest, funniest, most beautiful and talented woman in the world. Happy Birthday and Happy Birthday! Forever and so on
“
The couple have been together since 2016 and share a 1-year-old son’s name Riley – and it looks like Meg is ready for baby number two! Last month the pop singer told people having a big family is my biggest “dream”:
“I’m trying to raise four children, so I have to be involved.”
