Mike and Lauren Sorrentino has survived many “Conditions” during the relationship and marriage – from prison sentences to tax evasion to take on reality TV and parenthood together. And through it all, he remained solid.
The college sweethearts — who married in November 2018 — recalled their first date in the May 2021 issue. Us Weekly“The Game Is Not So Newly Married.”
“I just do movies and dinner,” Lauren said. “We are, like, as old as we date back when you would go to Blockbuster.”
The MTV personality agreed, noting that Blockbuster — a show that appeared in early 2000s dating — was “the best.”
He continued, “That’s what I said – DVD and cold. And obviously go out for dinner. We always went to Italy first, pasta and pizza, and then back to DVD and [chill].”
According to Lauren, it was Mike who said “I love you” the first way back when.
“Oh, God. It’s been years,” he told Us. “I just knew his personality and I knew my personality, especially at that time – I was very guarded. So even if I had feelings, I never showed them. Like, I’ll wait until it’s safe, like smooth.
The New York native confirmed her husband’s story.
“I have cancer, so we express our feelings quickly. I always say,” he explained.
After dating for a while, the couple split for the entire original run Jersey Shore District. However, everything turned out as expected – the duo has been inseparable since reconnecting in 2013.
“I definitely don’t follow some of the crazy things that happen Jersey Shore District. I don’t like a lot of what he does, but we’re not together!” Lauren said us in May 2015. “Timing is everything – we surround each other and we kind of pick up where we left off.”
In those years, the couple always made up for lost time – and even played together in different shows: Jersey Show: Family Vacation.
