Ryan Edwards is easily one of the worst dads in reality television history.
For years, Teen Mom fans watched in horror as Ryan abused various chemicals, was repeatedly arrested, and abused his oldest son.
The problem ended up being so bad that MTV fired Ryan and his family, reportedly at the request of his long-suffering ex, Maci Bookout.
However, now Edwards will return to the franchise that made him famous with his appearance on the Teen Mom: Family Reunion show.

(Officially titled Teen Mom Family Reunion: Aftermath. Coming up with titles for all of these spinoffs and specials should be a full-time position at MTV right now.)
And according to the show’s resident therapist Dr. Cheyenne Bryant – known as Coach B to cast members – fans will be stunned by the amount of growth Ryan has experienced since his last public appearance.
“Ryan showed up in a way that people have never seen before,” said Dr. Bryant in the British tabloid The Sun in a recent interview.

“I have to say that the most growth should go to Maci, Ryan and Bentley,” Coach B continued.
“You know, he hasn’t been able to be a parent for years and he can’t talk.
“Bentley has been on the short end, not really accepting a healthy co-parenting relationship, and it’s affecting his relationship with his father.”

Dr. Bryant said viewers will be surprised by the amount of growth Ryan has shown today.
She said that Ryan and Maci have “been able to come to a wonderful medium of co-parenting. And Bentley has been able to witness and be a part of that as well as Taylor.
Yes, even Maci’s husband, Taylor McKinney, likes Ryan now. Now, that’s progress!

“[Ryan] it’s a lot of work,” said Coarch B, adding:
“It was one of my favorite sessions and one of my favorite scenes we recorded because it was so deep and it made everyone die,” he continued.
“It’s great to see Ryan in a place where he really wants a relationship with Bentley and doesn’t have the tools to do it, and is so open to success. You know, ‘How? I really want it.'”

A production insider told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup that Ryan appears to be a changed man.
“Ryan got really emotional during the segment,” a source told The Ashley.
“People have never seen Ryan like this before.”

So, we’re guessing that Family Reunion is going to contain some major surprises — from the guys who weren’t even on the show!
Hey, it might not have anything to do with what fans have seen this season, but it’s sure to be a fun moment!
