He gave the warning while engaging residents at Eke Mgbowo, Eke Achi and Okefi Wonder Markets in Awgu and River Oji local government areas.

He assured the people that his commitment will come first when he is elected in the March gubernatorial poll.

He warned that selling their votes is tantamount to giving permission to buyers to usurp public resources and deny them their basic rights.

“I will not give you N2000 or N5000 for your PVC. My offer is four years of good governance in exchange for your vote,” Nweke said.

He acknowledged the deficit of trust in the government, noting that the mission of his government is to give dividends of democracy and regain trust.

Nweke, who has been on a tour of markets around the country, engages residents in the local dialect, switching from Igbo to Yoruba and Hausa as needed to ensure understanding and guarantee everyone’s inclusiveness. ad
